Pianos change with the seasons, slowly shifting out of tune as the year goes round.

It is also recommended to have your piano regulated every 10 years. Signs that it might need regulating include:
​
- Difficulty playing quietly
- Heavy keys, or keys that are too sensitive
- Difficulty playing quickly
- Strange noises, e.g. rattling or buzzing
- Keys that are more difficult to play than others
​
If you are not sure whether your piano needs regulating, or if you can't put your finger on something that is not quite right, I offer a free check and diagnosis with every tuning.

A deposit of £40 is taken in advance, and will be taken off the final amount owed. In the event that the piano is untuneable or no one is home, it will cover the callout fee.

Prices start at £85 for a tuning.

Regulation
Regulation is crucial for good piano care and ensures that everything on the inside of the piano is as it should be. You should be able to feel the difference in your playing after a good regulation, as the piano tends to fight against you if the internal workings are out of line.

Repairs
I offer almost any repair that can be done on a piano and provide a free check-over and diagnosis with every tuning.

French Polish
French polish is not restricted to pianos and I can polish any furniture, antiques or items that you need.
